PRINCESS OF WALES HOSPITAL, ELY – Glass Painting
From May – July 2007, Arts and Minds organised a series of glass painting workshops at the Cottages, Day Services for elderly people with various degrees of memory loss. Artist and teacher Norman, brought in a variety of glass objects – bowls, jugs and vases for the group to paint. With the help of nursing staff, he encouraged the group members to work on individual projects. The patients spent time drawing outlines of the designs, choosing colours and painting, to create some beautiful objects that could be used as presents or to take home.
