Art Workshops at the Darwin Centre

During the school holidays artist Sandra Scott worked with a group of young people at the Darwin Centre, a specialist residential unit for young people who have mental health problems. With Sandra the group have had a taste of various art-forms, including pottery, batik, paper-making and textiles.

Daniela McDermott also ran a very lively drumming workshop, and invited the staff to join in too. Arts and Minds relies on volunteer support to work alongside the artists, and we have had some fantastic volunteers who are an integral part of the work that we are doing.
