Arts and Minds Festival 2010

A cracking time at the Arts & Minds at The Junction, Cambridgeshire Agenda

Introduction

Welcome to the very first year of ARTS AND MINDS, the festival that aims to shake up our attitude to mental health, stir them with some film, music, debate and comedy and serve them up over an action-packed cultural weekend.

Featuring award-winning film and documentary, live music spoken word, and a specially commissioned comedy with world-class comedian John Ryan, this is a cultural event not to be missed.

Arts & Minds is a Cambridge-based charity which has been offering opportunities to people with mental health issues to get involved in creative and cultural activity for the last 3 years. We thought it would be a good idea to embrace the links between arts workshops, research into the benefits to be gleaned from creative activity - as well as the advocacy and campaigning side – and start 'Arts and Minds: The Festival'. And here we are in our very first year.
